Armstrong float & thermostatic model 15-J8 2″pipe 15lb maximum operating pressure, capacity 25,000 pounds per hour. Armstrong float and thermostatic traps are recommended for: modulating pressures where widlely varying loads are present, and pressures vary from maximum to vacuum. They are a good choice for their ability to vent air at very low pressures, handle start up air loads, and operate against back pressure. The Armstrong inverted bucket trap would be a better selection for: resistance to hydraulic shock, damage from freezing, and ability to handle dirt. The Armstrong 2″ “J” Series Ultra-Capacity Float & thermostatic trap allows steam to enter from one end of the trap, and the condensate to discharge from the same end the trap. The 2″ “J” Series steel body trap has a maximum operating pressure of 175 psi and comes standard with a stainless steel internal parts. The “J” Series are continuous drainage and are designed for very large capacities where drainage is essential. Under conditions where the load may approach the maximum capacity of the trap, it is recommended that the discharge outlet pipe size be increased by one size as close to the outlet as possible. The 2″ “J” Series has a inlet to outlet dimension of 6-5/8″ center-to-center, a height of 13-1/8″,a width of 9-11/16″,a depth of 13-11/16″, and a weight of 80lbs.
