Watts Steam Trap Capsule for Replacement of Exisiting Watts Capsule

Watts Quick-Fix replacement capsule model QFC-10 only (does not include a new seat) for all steam traps previously repaired with a Watts Quick-Fix replacement capsule. Watts QFC-10 Quick-Fix capsule only is used on all traps that have be changed to this style replacement conversion and already have the orifice adaptor in place. Quick-Fix capsules replace the existing thermostat & seat within your current trap. Capsules are held in place by a threaded seat that will thread into the orifice of your trap, or an adaptor to be placed in the bottom orifice of the trap. Once the threaded seat or adaptor is in place the capsule is then “snapped” into place on top of this seat or adaptor. When the thermostatic element senses steam it expands causing the ball type plunger within the element to close against thel seat or adaptor, thus keeping the steam contained until the steam cools to a liquid state. The element then senses the cooler liquid condensate and contracts which raises the plunger from the seat and allows the condensate to drain.
