Aero stainless steel condensate pump. Duplex unit, 1/2″ discharge, 1 hp 1 phase, 3450 rpm pump & motor, rated to 6,000 EDR, at 30 psi.9 gpm. This unit has a 12 gallon stainless steel receiver with 2″ inlet. Aero condensate pump units are designed to collect return condensate from the steam system and return it to the boiler in most cases via a boiler feed tank & pump unit. As condensate flows by gravity or from other pumping units to this receiver tank, the receiver fills with water. The float switch assembly then rises and signals the motor on the pump to start and begin pumping the condensate until the float drops with the lower water level and breaks the contact on the switch to shut the pump off. Aero condensate pumps are made in simplex (one pump) or duplex (two pumps). Duplex units are supplied with a mechanical alternator in place of the simplex float switch. The mechanical alternator will alternate from one pump to the other pump during cycles. This means longer life to the unit, plus it provides automatic back-up for the first pump in case of failure or if it cannot handle the return load. Aero series tank receivers are stainless steel for a long life. The pumps are also stainless steel and run at 3450 RPM.
