Packing Hook.

Size number 1 flexible packing hook. 6-1/4″ overall length, 3/16″ diameter shaft and 1/4″ diameter screw bit. The flexible shaft makes it possible to remove packing from awkwardly situated stuffing boxes. Construction consist of a flexible steel shank made up of spiral springs wound on inside the other in opposite directions. A permanently pointed, tempered steel corkscrew, and a rigid metal handle.
