Hoffman Specialty float & thermostatic steam trap FT175C, 2-1/2″ pipe size, 175 psi maximum steam operating pressure, condensate capacity 46,200 pounds per hour. Hoffman Specialty F&T traps (float and thermostatic) are recommended for modulating pressures where varying loads are present, and steam pressures may vary from maximum to vacuum. These Hoffman Specialty steam traps vent air at very low pressures, handle start up air loads, operate against back pressure and provide continuous condensate drainage. The Hoffman “C” series Float & thermostatic trap have the inlet on the top end of the cover on the trap, and the condensate discharge outlet on the bottom end of the steam trap cover. Looking at the cover there is an offset to the inlet and outlet piping. The “C” Series steam traps are available in steam operating pressures of 15, 30, 75, 125 & 175 psi. The 2-1/2″ FT175C, same end inlet to outlet center-to-center dimension of 9-1/2″, a height of 20-1/4″, a width of 14-1/2″, a depth of 17-3/8″, and a weight of 175lbs.
