Armstrong inverted bucket traps operate via a simple leverage system that uses the weight of the bucket to open the valve against pressure. The inverted bucket has only two moving parts which means no complicated linkages to bind or clog. The Armstrong 881T horizontal line inverted trap with thermic bucket and intergal stainer allows steam to enter from one side of the trap, and the condensate to discharge from the opposite side of the trap. The thermic bucket has a bi-metal air vent on the top rather than the standard “weep hole”, this allows for discharge of large amounts of air on start up. The 881T cast iron trap has a maximum operating pressure of 250 psi and comes standard with a stainless steel bucket. The 881T has a inlet to outlet dimension of 5″, a height of 7-1/16″ and a weight of 6 lbs.
