Bell & Gossett heat exchanger water in the shell, water in the tubes. Model #WU-46-2, 4″shell diameter, 72″ length, 2-pass. Tubeside pressure 150lbs, test pressure in tubes 300lbs, cast iron head, steel tube sheet, shell is steel, tubes are 3/4″ O.D. copper. Bell & Gossett “WU” heat exchanger is an instantaneous type, designed to heat liquids with water. These units can be connected to any hot water boiler or system. The capacity of the boiler should be checked to be sure that it is sufficient to handle the load imposed by the heat exchanger. Some method of controlling the hot water flow to the heat exchanger should be installed according to the manufacturers directions. “WU” heat exchangers are available in 2, 4 or 6 pass construction with lenghts up to 10 feet and shell diameters through 30 inches.
