B&G part number 186868 is a complete coupler assembly 1″ x 5/8″. Used on 1510 series pumps with a 1/2 to 3/4 HP motor with a 56 frame. Pump couplings (a.k.a. pump couplers) connect the motor shaft to the pump shaft. When the pump coupler “breaks” or wears quickly it is most likely an indication that the pumping shaft and motor shaft are out of alignment.
