Mepco (D&B) Radiator Trap, Model 1R – Replaces old -02H

Mepco angle pattern thermostatic trap model 1R 1/2″pipe 25lb maximum operating pressure, capacity 1,270 square feet EDR. Exact piping-in configuration as the old Warren-Webster 02H series of 1/2″ angle pattern radiator traps. Mepco thermostatic traps are recommended for: low pressure two pipe heating systems radiators, convectors, fintube,etc. They handle steam, air, and condesate by pressure and temperature to open and close the diaphragm or bellows. This thermostatic element expands when steam is present to close the trap, and contracts when the cooler air or condensate is present to open the trap which allows the condensate to drain. The Barnes & Jones thermostatic trap has cast bronze body available in angle pattern. This model was designed to replace the 1/2″ “02” series Warren Webster which was discontinued and are in the field in vast numbers. This has the exact rough-in dimensions.
