Marathon single lever lavatory faucet with 1-1/4″ pop-up and 4″ deck plate. Chrome plated single hole deck mount unit Marathon faucets use a hydraulic soft close feature that slows down the closing speed. Closing time on standard single lever faucets is so short that the piping system often results in heavy pressure shock or water hammer. Marathon faucets also contain a patented cartridge with two ceramic discs that have less wear do to a turnaround flow design. The water actually is wrapped around not through the ceramic discs so water contact on the disc is limited giving longer life.
